I've been wondering just what to do with this blog for some time. I'm a Believer, mother, wife, homemaker, quilter, and churchgoer, among other things. So how in what direction do I go with this blog? I don't like the idea of using it as a diary because I don't think my life is interesting enough to entertain anyone else, lol. Nor do I think it is a good idea to spend any real time conveying my day to this blog. It takes time to remember, to organize and to properly and correctly annotate what goes on in any given day. So no daily diary here. My sewing gives pleasure to me, but there are others who sew better and give better instructions than I do, so it's not going to be a craft blog either, although I may occasionally write about my sewing or cooking because I do learn so much from those, including humilty.
So what do I do with this gift of a free blog? I think I will assume very few people will be stopping by and so then I am free to prioritize by what is really important. And that is faith. Specifically, my faith and my desire to grow and become like the few Christians that I know are in love with the Lord and live accordingly. These people exude gentleness and strength at the same time. There is a humbleness about them that is rare and their very being emanates love and benevolence. I see how the world reactes to them and I pray I become like them, strong enough to endure the kneejerk hostility that greets them. As it is now, I get confused and angry when I encounter ridicule and malice when I do absolutely nothing to earn it.
To that end, I have decided to learn from example, both from my real life Christian models and from online Christians, like Ingrid and TeamPyro, as how a Christian walks, falls, rises again and learns and lives and loves.
This blog will be the place where I dig deeper into the Bible and prepare to work it out in my real life. A contributing member of TeamPyro has spoken very highly of Proverbs. Though in the past, I have wondered about the author of Proverbs and the possibility he may not have ended up in heaven, the scripture says he was very wise and his proverbs are in the Bible, therefor they are profitable and I will begin studying the book of Proverbs for moral guidance.
I am also going to study what my minister teaches on Sunday. He is a gifted minister and by his life I know he practices what he preaches and want to be like him and his wife.
I don't know how often I will post, but that is what I will use this blog for.
